Arrived, place basically empty but they said they were fully booked? we were there as it opened, 6pm. Had to order take away, we did and then told it would be 30-35 minutes. Walked home and I came back to pick up and the restaurant at 7pm was still basically less than half full. I wonder where the bookings are?? Had the Combination seafood hot pot - not recommended. It had a few prawns, 1 little bit of fish etc mostly vegetables not tasty at all. Will not bother with this place again.

The meals arrived at random well over an hour later. The Mongolian beef was very nice, combination chow mein and sweet and sour pork quite nice too. The other meals were ordinary at best and weren't finished because of this. We ordered 3 special fried rice. It looked like plain brown rice with no extras to make it special. I'm 60, retired now but spent all my life in the hospitality industry, some in Chinese restaurants. That fried rice was the worst I've ever had. $11 each for special fried rice like that was ridiculous.

It was very hard to get the attention of the wait staff, 3 on the floor for a Saturday night was shocking. They cannot be expected to provide good customer service because the simple logistics of how many people they had to care for was impossible. We ordered desert after repeatedly chasing someone to take the order. Three banana fritters with caramel topping. Eventually the waitress came out saying 2 of them had accidentally been covered with chocolate topping, would we accept that? No, we couldn't. A while later one banana fritter came out, no topping, cold and ice cream almost completely melted. Obviously one of the original ones. 10 minutes later the other 2 came out, freshly cooked and looking as they should.

This whole experience took several hours. I was astonished to see we had been charged $10 on our bill for prawn crackers. Never in my life have I paid for prawn crackers, they are always complimentary. They are inexpensive to provide, and considering the prices of the meals they definitely should have been complimentary.

Which brings me to the prices of the meals, way overpriced and lacking in quality. It was ordinary at best, but the prices didn't reflect that. In addition, the meal was a marathon lasting several hours. It's noted upon booking that you have 90 minutes to eat and vacate the table for the next group. If you expect that you must ensure the service is commensurate with being able to do that. It isn't. It's not the fault of the wait staff, they were amazing given the enormity of the challenge they were presented with being so severely understaffed.

Being presented with a bill of over $300 NOT including drinks, no entrees, one child didnt order a meal and 5 deserts! The food quality, the pricing and the lack of staff available would not make me want to come back or recommend you to others.

Overpriced, underwhelming food and insufficienty staffed.

Last night we ordered takeaway, and we were extremely disappointed in the quality of each of the dishes.
The ‘special’ fried rice was anything but! Apart from a couple of tiny prawns in a container of gluggy brown rice there was nothing to commend it as special.
The barramundi was quite tasty, however the soggy lettuce that accompanied it spoiled the dish.
The flavour of the beef with special sauce was nondescript.
At $67 for a takeaway meal for two people we feel that the food is overpriced.
Having read a number of other negative reviews about the restaurant, that were posted recently, we are no longer confident enough to return.
I hope that the Club will take these reviews, and well meant comments, on board and rectify what appears to be a staffing problem in the kitchen

We had the pork spring rolls as an entree, roast pork with plum sauce, sweet & sour roast duck and a special friend rice. All the dishes were so delicious, we also took leftovers home as the portions were generous. I had a beautiful lychee cocktail too. Everything we had was memorable. The Cheeky... read more Chopstick again has THE BEST CHINESE in a very wide area ... the staff are courteous & professional, the new restaurant chef & staff create wonderful meals & is very highly patronised (no wonder ) and Kathryn who looked after us is exceptional in her hospitality prowess.

The lunch special of satay chicken with fried rice sensational whereas the chicken pad Thai ordinary. The prawn taps spectacular ( once we had added some salt from our BYO salt grinder).

Our waitress a delightful Canadian lass, whose service was efficient without seeming rushed. During the time we were there she had 18 customers across 7 tables and just her on service. That’s pretty impressive.

The only negative which was club-related was the lack of wifi.
It’s actually advertised outside of club and inside if you ask, provided with the password but despite the wifi connecting it clearly dated no internet connection.
I alerted the front desk person at 11:15 but it still had not been resolved by the time we left at 12:50 Pm with no one coming back to apologise or check.
For a local this wouldn’t be a big deal but for a visitor staying in accomodation without wifi it was an issue because that wifi was also a draw card with me needing to upload some work files that my phone hotspot ( 2 Telstra network bars) was unable to do.

The staff are the most friendly I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and for those folks who don't want to drive there is a courtesy bus.

It was beautifully fitted out and the staff were attentive with what we wanted. The food was excellent. The wine was good and reasonably priced but the starers were the stand out. We had lots of things to try and was not disappointed. Our only criticism was the batter on 2 of the dishes we had was just a bit too thick, but that's just being picky. We will definitely go again and we know now not to order dishes that come in batter. Other than that it was a lovely enjoyable evening with friends. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
